National Public Lands Day is the largest single-day volunteer effort on public lands.The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has volunteer projects available at Brookville Lake, Turkey Run State Park, Raccoon State Recreation Area, Brown County State Park, Spring Mill, Quabache State Park, O’Bannon Woods and Tippecanoe River State Park.Hiking, pioneer activities, crafts and live bird shows will also be available.last_img read more

Women’s Basketball Moves to No. 24 in AP Top 25

first_imgStory Links The Drake University women’s basketball team moved to No. 24 in Monday’s Associated Press’ women’s college basketball poll. Drake, which is 6-1 overall with its lone loss to No. 1 Notre Dame, received votes each of the first three weeks of the poll. The Bulldogs went 2-1 last week at the Vancouver Showcase with wins over Rutgers and then No. 13 South Carolina and a loss to the Fighting Irish. This is the first ranking for the program since it closed the 2016-17 season at No. 20 in the final AP poll.
